There are many ways to get involved with Watauga Community Housing Trust.
All community members and supporters are invited to become a WCHT member. Beyond membership, a donation, partnership, and volunteer time to fundraise or join one of our Working Groups moves us closer to more affordable homes for our county!
This is a community-wide effort and we need skills from every corner of Watauga! Find the best way to get involved or reach out below!

Donate
WCHT is a registered 501(c)3 and all donations are tax-deductible. Your contributions add to the acquisition of our first foreclosure property purchase to be renovated for affordable housing. Read more about our fundraising plan here.
If you are a property owner in Watauga interested in donating or selling property to WCHT please contact us. A property donation would speed up our fundraising plan by years— you’d be a hero basically! We will work with you to provide significant tax advantages and recognition for your high-level support.

Monthly Working Group Meetings:
Working Groups are the engine of the organization, a way to split up all different tasks involved. Use the contact form to get the Zoom link for the Working Group you are interested in. If you are unable to attend at the monthly meeting time, that’s okay, we do most of our work online in between meetings, just send us an email to sign up and we’ll find a project to work on together. Check out our calendar for upcoming Working Group meetings coming up!
Quarterly Members Meetings:
Every three months, we host a public meeting for the community to hear what we’ve accomplished recently, how to get involved, and to hear from our members.
Each meeting is hosted on zoom, and recorded if you couldn’t catch it.
Past meeting recordings:
Homebuyer Information Meeting May 2024

We’re working on being able to provide childcare and multilingual translation at our meetings. If you can help with either, please contact us!
Other ways to get involved:

Volunteer with the WCHT as part of a class project!
Have us come speak at one of your meetings!
Help us provide childcare at our meetings for working families who want to join!
Help us provide translation/interpretation for non-English speakers for our resource handouts and at meetings.
Submit photos, art, testimonials, or other writing about your experience in Watauga County for us to share as a community profile on social media (anonymous submissions ok)
